A hidden treasure in Arizona's northeastern country is Forest Lakes.
Forest Lakes is located in the beautiful cool pines of the Mogollon Rim just 2 1/2 hours northeast of Phoenix. It is at an altitude of 7,600 feet and a wonderful summer home location or getaway for your family.

There are several lakes to enjoy in the Forest Lakes area:
Black Canyon Lake is a smaller lake. You can do some nice trout fishing here.
Bear Canyon Lake has some wonderful scenery. This lake is at 7,600 feet.
Woods Canyon Lake is larger and has five campgrounds.
Willow Springs Lake is a great fishing lake. You will catch mostly rainbow trout here. There is not a campground at this lake, but there is a boat ramp.
Chevelon Lake is a harder lake to reach than most. You have to walk in to this lake and it will be a little over a one mile hike.
Knoll Lake is another nice fishing lake. There are mostly rainbow and brook trout here.
